Os Creative Arts Emmy Awards premiaram neste fim de semana os melhores nas categorias técnicas e artísticas numa grande variedade de géneros televisivos, como animação e documentário.
“Planet Earth II” ganhou na categoria de Melhor Documentário ou Série de Não-ficção. Em Melhor Documentário ou Série de Não-ficção Especial, “13th” de Ava DuVernay ganhou a Amanda Knox, A House Divided, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week e L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later. Já na categoria de Melhor Programa de Animação foi “Bob’s Burgers” que arrecadou o prémio com o episódio “Bob Actually”. “Adventure Time” destacou-se dos restantes na categoria Melhor Animação de Formato Curto.
Alexis Bledel ganhou o prémio de Melhor Actriz Convidada num Drama com “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Já na categoria masculina foi Gerald McRaney, com a sua participação em “This is Us”.
“Veep”, “Stranger Things” e “Big Little Lies” ganharam o prémio de Melhor Elenco para comédia, drama e série limitada/filme/especial, respectivamente. Nas categorias de Melhor Cinematografia, os grandes vencedores foram “Veep”, “The Ranch”, “The Night of” e “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Na área da música, “House of Cards” e “Fargo” arrecadaram os prémios mais importantes.
“Saturday Night Live”, “Westworld” e “Stranger Things” foram as séries que ganharam mais prémios nesta edição dos Creative Arts Emmy Awards, 5 cada uma.
