Foram revelados os nomeados para os Emmy Awards 2018. O anúncio foi feito ontem, quinta-feira, por Samira Wiley e Ryan Eggold.
As nomeações dos Emmy Awards 2018 são lideradas por “Saturday Night Live” da NBC e “Westworld” da HBO com 21 nomeações cada. “O Assassinato de Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” da FX Networks foi a minissérie com mais nomeações, 18. Já “Atlanta” dominou na comédia, com 16 indicações.
Esta 70ª edição fica marcada pela indicação de Sandra Oh a Melhor Atriz numa Série Dramática. É assim a primeira atriz asiática de sempre a receber esta nomeação. Mas, para além disto, este foi o ano em que a HBO perdeu a liderança nas nomeações. A vitória de 2018 vai para a Netflix, que arrecadou 112 nomeações. A HBO ficou-se pelas 108.
A cerimónia de entrega dos prémios Emmy será realizada no dia 17 de setembro no Microsoft Theater em Los Angeles. Será apresentada por Michael Che e Colin Jost.
